Expressing Good Wishes with Our Bon Voyage Leather Pouch
Did you know that bon voyage is an expression of good wishes to someone about to go on a journey? Last week was a little bittersweet for me because I had to say goodbye to a friend who is moving to Italy with her husband. Mary and I have shared countless stories about fabric, our favorite quilting stores (Gotham Quilts), dress-making and so much more. I figured what better way to express my best wishes then with a custom-made cotton and leather pouch. Our bon voyage leather pouch just seemed to fit the occasion.
This pouch is all about celebrating travel with passports, sandals, shades, cabs and handbags featured prominently in the print. This whimsical fabric print is designed by Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Co (one of my favorite designers). I can’t say enough how I love their vibrant fabrics. Beautiful leather adorns the bottom of this bag making it durable and timeless. At 4.5 inches tall by 8.5 inches wide, I can only imagine the adventures this bag will be taken on. After all it is designed to easily slip into any handbag, or you can carry it separately as stylish clutch. I’m guessing some delicious Italian eateries will be on the list along with some eye-catching sites.
No matter the adventure, this bag is guaranteed to have her fully stocked with her favorite everyday essentials. Though I’m going miss Mary dearly, I’m taking joy that I can add Italy to my places to visit because of her.
